".....Willie Nelson and several of his band members were on the road again
and were stopped early Monday during a routine highway inspection. As a
result, attending officers caught a whiff of a foreign odor wafting from
Willie's vehicle, which led to several drug possession citations.

...as a result of the marijuana discovery, Nelson and all persons in the
vehicle were issued citations for drug posession...... "Nelson, 73, and Tony
Sizemore, 59, Bobbie Nelson, 75, Gates Moore, 54, and David Anderson, 50,
were issued misdemeanor citations for possession of mushrooms and marijuana
and then released.

The citation comes only two days on the heels of Willie Nelson's appeal to
have marijuana decriminalized while on a political trip in Texas on behalf
of Kinky Friedman, a candidate in the Texas race for governor. If convicted,
Willie Nelson could face time behind bars....."

Jay Leno commented last night that the pound of marijuana the police found
in his bus was only the amount that was in his bong- and that fortunately
the police disn't actually find his stash. <g>

I fell out of my chair when the "BREAKING NEWS" occured. Gave me a good
sputter.

In fact, it'd be *NEWS* is Willy's bus was found *without* Mary Jane aboard.

Yep, I'd rather the cops spend that time going after child molesters and
bank robbers, and leave poor ol' 73 y/o potheads alone. Willie buys only
home grown, doesn't support foreign drug cartels...

Hi Jo, we have beautiful weather down here--cool nights, warm days--hope you
do up there.

Yep, It's doesn't take an expert detective to realize Willie Nelson's multi
colored tour bus with a big "legalize pot" sticker on the side may have
marijuana in it. Half of country music has smoked pot on that bus...Toby
Keith said so recently on the Colbert Report.

What is wrong with Texas cops? My cop freinds here told about having
to guard and control the crowds when who???? the Grateful Dead?????
some stoned group--- played here --- and said they were all so peaceful
and happy all the cops had to do was look the other way and a pleasant
evening was had by all. IF Willie's bus was plainly marked, . couldn't
the cops read?

Willie's bus was stopped for a routine inspection or traffic stop,
depending on whose version you read, and the smell of marijuana was very
strong. If an officer smells it he/she is duty bound to do something
about it as long as the possession and useage is against the law,
regardless of who the user is.

Better to be caught with the weed than with a bag full of spinach I say.
Don and his Devil
I like spinach just don't inhale.

Hey Chong

Don't bogart that joint, my friend
Pass it over to me.
Don't bogart that joint, my friend
Pass it over to me.

Roll another one
Just like the other one.
This one's burnt to the end
Come on and be a friend.

Don't bogart that joint, my friend
Pass it over to me.
Don't bogart that joint, my friend
Pass it over to me.

Ro-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oll another one
Just like the other one.
You've been hanging on to it
And I sure would like a hit.

Don't bogart that joint, my friend
Pass it over to me.
Don't bogart that joint, my friend
Pass it over to me

Well, I read one or two of his books years ago and it wasn't bad. And
his band is interesting ['Kinky & the Jew Boys' or something like
that]. I've read about him and saw the tv interview he gave on CBS

So, you are saying you know nothing of the guy... as is evident.

as far as Perry, you spew the typical liberal attitude... you express
such hate, hate, hate. How very liberal of you.

'round these parts not many folks have use for Perry any more and
genuinly wish to send him packing in November. I am gonna aid that effort.

Kinky win? Hey Marian let's go

There's gonna be a Freakers Ball,
Yes, yes, tonight at the Freakers Hall,
Yeah and you know that you're invited,
One and all.

C'mon babies. grease your lips.
Put on your hats, and swing your hips.
Don't forget to bring your whips.
We're goin' to the Freakers Ball.
Blow your whistle.bang your gong --
Roll up somethin' to take along.
Feels so good. it must be wrong -
Freakin' at the Freakers Ball.
All the fags and dikes, they're boogyin' together --
Leather freaks dressed in all kinds of leather.
The greatest of the Sadists and the Masochists, too,
Screamin' "Please hit me" and "I'll hit you".
F.B.I. dancin' with the junkies -
All the Straights swingin' with the Funkies
'Cross the floor and up the wall
Freakin' at the Freakers Ball.
Everybody is lovin' each other --
Brother with sister. son with mother.
Smear my body up with butter,
And take me to the Freakers Ball.
So pass that roach and pour the wine --
I'll kiss yours and you'll kiss mine.
I'm gonna boogie til I go blind --
Freakin' at the Freakers Ball.
Black ones, white ones, yellow and red ones --
Necropheliacs lookin' for dead ones.
The greatest of the Sadists and the Masochists, too --
Screaming' "Please hit me" and "I'll hit you".
Everybody ballin' in batches --
Pyromaniacs strikin' matches.
I'm gonna itch me where it scratches --
Freakin' at the Freakers Ball, y'all
Freakin' at the Freakers Ball.

When I think of the countless times Marian has been verbally abused in
the nastiest and most personal of terms on this newsgroup for
expressing an opinion that runs contrary to that of at least two Texan
males who are also members, the notion that someone might take
personally and object to her observation is ludicrous. But only a
little more so than the notion that she is or should be concerned with
endearing herself to anyone when she posts her views. The Texans I know

Apparently you haven't learned that liberals are supposed to be tolerant.
That's a nasty thing to say about a whole state. Of course I shouldn't be
surprised. It wouldn't be the first time you've made nasty cracks about a
place because you didn't like what a few of its residents did.

The headline reads:

Texas Candidate Accused of Racist Crack

Here we have a *CLASSIC* example of the liberal media and the liberal
mindset. The man tells a *FACT* that the remaining "katrina evacuees"
are crackheads and thugs and *liberal* drag out the racism card when no
racism is involved... only_the_facts. These facts are provable by the

I can't help it JD but you make me laugh I don't remember the last time
I saw such total and utter pessimism......It is hard to believe that one
man could be grumpy enough for 10....How do you get to sleep at night
with all that negativity and misery eating you up......it is the
disagreeable quality of one who dissents..... characterized by habitual
skepticism defeatism, and pessimism......No wonder you don't have a
decent nice thought left...
Instead a tendency to stress the negative or unfavorable or to take the
gloomiest possible
view: “We have seen too much defeatism, too much pessimism, too much of
a negative approach” (Margo Jones).

taken from answers on the net...

Cheer up you miserable so and so.....

Bobbie...

People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong. Why not try
and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?

negative thought. - Peace Pilgrim

are crackheads and thugs and *liberal* drag out the racism card when
no racism is involved... only_the_facts. These facts are provable by
the crime stats in houston since those people were brought in. Post
after post about the issue has been made in this news group and
largely ignored by everyone. The fact remains that Kinky tells the
truth and liberals cannot stand the truth and immediately shout
"racism" as a standard knee-jerk reaction as taught by the democrat
play book.

Liberals, espcially in the media, cannot tolerate even the thought of
a Jewish southerner, especially one who dares criticize de brovvas in
any way, shape or form. It is anathema to them. It gives them
stomach upsets and bowel seepage to even consider such a thing. But
it is reality, about which liberals have no concept.

He is my choice. Grand Ma is in bed with the Mexican Company that is
gonna build the Super Hiway thru Texas. Pretty Boy Perry is a Bush

than any of them,13,000 of us have sent contributions, yet it doesn't
compare to the funds that Grand Ma and Pretty Boy have receieved from

Not exactly. Gramma is *against* the TTC and has stated she'll put an
end to it if elected. That is also true for Bell and Friedman.

Yep, I checked with a longtime classmate of mine today that has been
deeply involved in Texas politics for the past 30 years, after a friend
in this group suggested I needed to reveiw Granma's stance on the Super
Hiway that is gonna destroy lots of farms and ranches, and she told me
that I was very wrong in what I said about Granma.
I stand corrected.
