my point of view, I and many others started living much if not most if
not all the equality stuff back in the 70s, and within a decade were
treating most if not all equally, even if not completely believing it
was so on a case by case basis.

But somewhere along the line, those allegedly most horrified by "profiling"
concocted a profile summed up by the phrase "old white men", associating
most if not all the major ills and evils of the United States with *all*
who fit that profile. And since I fit that profile, I feel as though my
efforts to see things differently from the 70s onward were in vain.

I think religious fundamentalism is what mostly goes in circles, and
right now it's a dark cloud enveloping so-called Progressivism.
